A Story That Began with Fairy Tales

Every world begins with a story. Ours began not in darkness, but in fairy tales.
In 2020, the foundations of what would become the Untamed World were laid through a collaboration with Creature Caster, rooted in a shared fascination with folklore, myth, and classic Fairy Tales. These were not the gentle stories of childhood, but older truths, tales shaped by fear, morality, and consequence. We wanted to explore what happens when those stories are stripped of comfort and retold with honesty.

This collaboration became the first chapter of the Untamed World, a space where familiar stories could be reshaped into something darker and more honest. Characters inspired by familiar legends were reimagined through a darker lens, grounded, brutal, and emotionally charged. It was a creative partnership that helped define our direction and taught us how powerful narrative-driven miniatures could be.As the years passed, the world around Novac Dawn began to expand. Our designs grew bolder, the themes heavier, and the need for a broader universe became clear. By 2023, we felt it was time to step beyond folklore and into something more raw.
That year marked the expansion of the Untamed World into a new realm: Untamed Nightmares.
Nightmares were never meant to replace fairy tales. They were meant to exist beside them. Where fairy tales deal in symbols and distorted truths, nightmares are more direct. They are manifestations of fear, corruption, power, and loss. Creatures without moral lessons, only presence.
With the launch of Nightmares, we also introduced our MyMiniFactory subscription, opening the doors to a growing community of collectors, painters, and players. Monthly releases allowed us to tell stories gradually, character by character, building a living world shaped as much by the community as by our own imagination.

What began as a single collaboration evolved into a universe of its own. Fairy tales and nightmares now coexist within the Untamed World, each informing and strengthening the other. One rooted in myth and allegory, the other in pure, unfiltered darkness.
Looking back, the path feels organic. Each step led naturally to the next. What started as an exploration of old stories became a space where imagination, sculpture, and storytelling meet.
And this is only the beginning.
