Tharngrim, The Gilded Sentinel, isn’t like other warriors—because he was never truly alive. A construct of gleaming gold and absolute purpose, he exists only to serve. His creators are long gone, their voices silenced by time, but his duty remains. Unwavering. Unbroken. Unquestioning.

What makes Tharngrim so unsettling isn’t just his massive presence or the weight of his plated armor—it’s the silence. No battle cries, no rage, no hesitation. He moves with an eerie, deliberate grace, striking down enemies as if their fate was sealed long before they ever lifted a blade. Some say that deep inside that gilded shell, something watches. Something waits. But that’s just a story... right?

Backstory:

"Tharngrim is a relic from an age long lost to history, a towering construct forged from iron and adorned with ornate gold inlays. Its creators, shrouded in mystery, are the subject of countless myths. Some say Tharngrim was the final masterpiece of a dying civilization, crafted to protect its people as they faced extinction. Others believe it was the handiwork of gods or celestial beings, sent to the mortal plane to uphold balance in the face of unchecked chaos. Whatever its origins, its form was not left to mere function—the intricate golden engravings across its armor are not just decoration but a testament to an age when war was an art, and its weapon, a symbol of judgment.

At the heart of Tharngrim lies the Auric Ember, a molten sphere of enchanted gold said to pulse with the energy of a thousand souls—or perhaps the will of the gods themselves. This golden heart gives Tharngrim life and imbues it with a power that seems almost sentient. Vents upon its back hiss with golden steam, an eternal exhalation from the forge that birthed it. The embers of its soul still smolder, and the weapon it carries—a colossal gilded glaive—burns with the tempered fury of a forgotten age.

Tharngrim’s first appearance in recorded history is in the ruins of the Soltrium Citadel, a place known for its vast treasures and impenetrable defenses. By the time adventurers discovered the construct, it stood silently among the crumbling golden halls, immovable and unresponsive, its presence a warning to would-be looters. But those who defied the sanctity of the ruins quickly learned the truth: Tharngrim was no lifeless relic. When the treasures of Soltrium were disturbed, the golden giant awakened, glaive in hand, smoke rising from its armor like a battle-forge relit.

Now, Tharngrim roams the world as a silent juggernaut, appearing in times of great need—or great destruction. It is not simply a guardian but a warden of balance, a silent enforcer of a purpose that even time cannot erase. Those who have seen it tell tales of an iron colossus wielding a blade like a reaper’s scythe, carving through the unworthy with the weight of judgment itself."
